Kandace E. Rudd, JD, MSW, will speak on April 15 at the Annual Alzheimer’s Disease Education and Training Conference. Her topic is “What is Elder Law.” The goal of her presentation is for attendees to develop a basic understanding of the practice of elder law. She will discuss basic estate planning and incapacity documents. She will also discuss guardianship proceedings when estate and incapacity planning fails. Finally, she will discuss long-term planning for in-home, assisted living and skilled nursing care.
