In-Home Respite: This program includes in-home care provided by volunteers. Clients must have AD or related memory impairment and there must be a caregiver residing in the home. A trained volunteer may be assigned for six hours each week. Time and amount of services are based on the needs of the caregiver and the availablity of volunteers. Respite care volunteers may assist with companionship, exercise and walking , light cooking, light housekeeping, grocery shopping and other errands. This is service is free. Day Respite Program: 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. CNA on-site. Lunch provided. Meets at Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1700 N. Meridian Rd., Tallahassee, Fl. No Charge for this service.

Elder Day Stay is a care solution for seniors needing continual supervision due to physical or mental decline. The combination of health care, intellectual stimulation, nutrition, exercise, and socialization are structured to maximize independence and safety. An excellent option for caregivers who work or need respite to attend to other responsibilities. Elder Day Stay accepts clients who can complete activities of daily living with assistance. Fees are $40 per day with scholarships available through the agency’s fund raising efforts.
